Harmanpreet Kaur – Hailing from Moga, a small town in Punjab, the story of Indian cricketer Harmanpreet has been nothing short of inspirational. The 29 year old did not have it easy when she started her cricketing journey as it required her to travel 30 km from her place to learn nuances of the game at an academy.
The right handed top order batsman announced herself to international cricket with her debut in 2009 during the World Cup held in Australia. Harmanpreet is the caption of T20 women cricket team. Apart from being an explosive batter, Kaur is also a handy off spinner. She created ripples with her 115 ball unbeaten 171 against defending champions Australia in the semi finals of the 2017 ODI World Cup.
Mithali Raj – The 35-year-old Mithali Raj’s, leadership qualities have attracted everyone’s attention. Mithali Raj is flag barrier of the women’s cricket in India for almost 2 decades. She is playing international cricket for almost 18 years. Her records are immeasurable. In fact, she is more than just for records. As long as Mithali Raj is batting or yet to bat India are in considerably good position. She is called as Sachin Tendulkar of Women’s cricket. She is calm and composed at every situation. 
On her debut, Mithali was just 16 years and 250 days old. She is the youngest female cricketer to score a hundred on her ODI debut. She was down with typhoid during the 2002 Women’s World Cup. Then she propelled India to its first ever World Cup final in 2005. Despite having many centuries, Mithali holds the record for scoring most 90’s in her career. She has scored five nineties, the most by any female cricketer.
Before taking up cricket, Mithali was a classical dancer. She learnt Bharatnatyam and wanted to grow in that field. Mithali is an Arjuna Awardee. She received the award in 2013.She also received the Padma Shri in 2015. Currently she holds the record for scoring highest runs in Women’s ODI cricket (6028 runs).
